Book Giveaway!!

Yes indeed…this is the fun part of moving: boxes, boxes, boxes.  Well, more fun for one lucky reader anyhow! After leaving Stash Books, I ended up with some extra copies of their (*gulp* first time I have written ‘their’ but somehow they will always be ‘my’) books and as a thank you to all my readers, I am going to pack up all these books to give away.

I also found a couple of books that I just don’t look at as much as I thought I would when I bought them–maybe you will.   Just leave your name below and, if you like, share with me what you are most looking forward to this summer. Winner will be chosen at random, not based on the story, so no pressure!

The titles include:

Sockology by Brenna Maloney

Me and My Sewing Machine by Kate Haxel

The Practical Guide to Patchwork by Elizabeth Hartman

Lunch Bags! compiled by me

Little Birds compiled by me

Countdown Calendars compiled by me

Modern Blocks compiled by me

Fanciful Felties by Sam Cotterill

Quilts Made Modern by Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr

Inspired to Sew by Bari Ackerman

Little Girls, Big Style by Mary Abru

Sweetwater’s Simple Home by the Sweetwater trio

Linen, Wool, Cotton by Make Good Crafts

Free-Style Handmade Bags and Skirts

So leave a comment below by Sunday at 10 pm Pacific to win them all! Good luck!

(Sorry sorry-as I’m going to pay for shipping, this is limited to US residents only) :-(

p.s To all of ‘my’ authors, these were extra copies I had. Trust me, my personal copy of your book is safely tucked into one of those boxes to make the trip to Colorado with me!

oh man, i missed the giveaway. and you promised me “little birds” long ago. guess i’ll have to actually pay for it. this summer what i’m most looking forward to is not having to get my kids off to school in the morning, not having to force them into bed before the light fades so we can knock about the yard in the twilight.

  17. Beth T. says:

I am so looking forward to sunny days when I can grab a book, a Coke, and a picnic quilt and go outside to read, surrounded (and occasionally interrupted, let’s be real) by our dogs and chickens. It has been a long, wet, dreary winter here, and I am ready for some golden days.

Thanks so much for the giveaway. I am a lifelong book-lover, and becoming a quilter just added another category to books I adore.

  18. Amanda says:

What a great giveaway! My husband and I are about to move as well – what a coincidence, we cleaned out our own bookshelves yesterday! So that leaves room for a whole slew of new sewing books! ;) hehehe….

What I’m looking forward to summer is enjoying a ‘real’ vacation after going 3 years w/out one! I just recently left work, and studying to go back to school. Once my test is over and applications are turned in, I’m a free woman!

Thanks again for such a generous giveaway… ;) Enjoy your Sunday!

  19. H2Ogirl says:

Wowzers! Oh the dreaded move. I’m so happy with Spring I almost don’t want to think beyond. But this summer holds walks daily and some sewing i’ve veen putting off, you know sewing for me.

    Luck on your move

  23. Shea says:

What a great giveaway!! This summer I am most looking forward to being on the other side of quilt market prep. :) I plan on relaxing and sewing for my family! I can’t wait!! Good luck with the move. Long distance moves are quite a project and I am glad ours is behind us. Hope yours goes just as smoothly as ours did!

  24. Jenn says:

Wow oh wow! What a wonderful prize to even win just one book! I have only heard of a few so this would be a wonderful surprise! Thanks for the chance to win :)

  25. Sheila says:

Can I win if I promise to pay the difference in the shipping? Pretty please?! (Although my brother will kill me if I buy any more books…I have a move in my near future, too, and he’s the one who has to haul the boxes!)

As far as what I’m looking forward to, that’s easy. Long, sunny days on the dock at the cottage, with a good book and a G&T. Perfection. :)

  26. Linda S. says:

What an incredible collection of books….some of them are already on my ‘must have’ list!! Can’t tell you how much those books would be loved if they came to live with me. Thanks so much for your generosity!!

  27. Kelley says:

Wow, what a giveaway! Thanks for the chance. :) I don’t envy you having to pack up for a move. As for what I’m looking forward to – hmm, training for a marathon would be up there, a family vacation, maybe just having some nice sunny days? Oh and not having to herd the children through homework. That is freaking priceless.

  28. Sandi says:

Isn’t moving fun? I’ve done it 19 times (not including back and forth to college) since childhood. And we’ve been at this house for 16 years. This summer I am looking forward to settling in to my new job! As part of it I’ll manage the area visitor’s information center, which means I need to get really familiar with all of the things my city has to offer. I’m off to see a quilt display & turning at the local historical society this weekend.
